Where to Find Your Key Code

To order the correct replacement key, you must locate your key code.

✅ Check these common locations:

  • Original Key – The code is often stamped directly on the key
  • Lock Face / Lock Cylinder – Some locks have the code engraved on the front, side, or have a sticker on the back.
  • Original Packaging or Documentation – May include the key code or lock number

✅ What the Key Code Looks Like

Key codes may include numbers, letters, or a combination, depending on the brand.

Examples:

  • 245TL (CompX Timberline)
  • A1357 (Architectural Mailboxes)
  • 26G432 (Master Lock)
  • 4083 (Polaris)

👉 The full code (including letters) is required to identify the correct replacement key.

⚠️ Important Notes

  • The key code is required to supply the correct replacement
  • Locks cannot be matched by appearance alone
  • Codes are not always stamped on the lock (many brands only include it on the key or packaging)
  • Always enter the full code exactly as shown
