Bauer replacement lock cylinders are available in Master ("P") and Non-Mastered ("DB") versions. The correct cylinder depends on the type of Bauer lock you have.
Which Cylinder Do I Need?
Entry door locks (including electric entry locks) use two different lock cylinders:
- Master Cylinder – Marked "P"
- Non-Mastered Cylinder – Marked "DB"
If you're replacing both cylinders, you will need one P cylinder and one DB cylinder.
Slam Baggage Locks & Cam Baggage Locks
These lock types use Non-Mastered ("DB") cylinders only.
A Master ("P") cylinder is not used with slam baggage or cam baggage locks.
How Do I Identify My Cylinder?
Bauer lock cylinders are marked on the side for identification.
- P = Master Cylinder (Entry Door Locks)
- DB = Non-Mastered Cylinder (Entry Door Locks, Slam Baggage Locks, and Cam Baggage Locks)
Before Ordering
A Bauer control key is required to remove and install lock cylinders. Before ordering replacement cylinders, verify that you have the correct control key or a way to remove the existing cylinder.
